Terms of Service for Utah Residential Energy Registry
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing www.ut-energyregistry.org (the "Portal"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations in the State of Utah. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site.
2. Nature of Service The Utah Energy Registry is a private eligibility verification service designed to facilitate residential access to energy programs and infrastructure updates.
Not a Government Agency: This Portal is not owned, operated, or endorsed by any government entity.
Verification Process: Eligibility is determined based on property location, utility expenditure, and infrastructure compatibility.
3. Accuracy of Information Users represent that all data provided through the Eligibility Survey is accurate and pertains to a property they legally own or represent. Submission of false data may result in immediate disqualification from the 2026 Abatement Program.
4. Program Limitations Preliminary qualification through the Portal does not guarantee program acceptance. Final approval is subject to a 10-minute on-site efficiency audit and grid capacity verification by a designated specialist. We reserve the right to modify eligibility criteria based on regional grid load and legislative updates, including S.B. 132.
5. Intellectual Property The "Registry" branding, the Grid Risk Analysis materials, and all original content are the intellectual property of the Registry and its strategic coordinators. Unauthorized reproduction is strictly prohibited.
6. Limitation of Liability In no event shall the Utah Energy Registry or its affiliates (including Sparta Solar) be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on the Portal. We provide information for educational and verification purposes only.
7. Governing Law Any claim relating to the Portal shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
8. SMS Messaging Program & Use Cases Participants in the 2026 Energy Abatement Program may receive SMS notifications for the purpose of property verification status, coordination of the 10-minute on-site efficiency audit, and regulatory updates regarding Utah Code Title 54-15.+1
9. Opt-Out and Support You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again. For help, reply "HELP" or contact us at [email protected].
10. Rates and Carrier Liability Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
11. Age Restriction You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Portal or participate in the Registry verification protocol. By using this Portal, you warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
